prop shaft fitting

I am trying to fit prop shaft to my new T 500 gearbox. The rubber seal has a splined inner piece, does this have to be removed before fitting prop shaft. If so how do I do it?

Thanks Guys

Re: prop shaft fitting

Yes it has to be removed.
They can be a bit tricky to get out but if you keep at it you'll get there in the end.

Re: prop shaft fitting

Make sure you have the right number of splines on both the shaft and the gearbox... otherwise you will have a problem trying to make it fit.
