15" tyres

Hello,

was speaking to one of the guys at dax the other day, and he mentioned that 15 inch tyres were getting hard to get hold of. Just wondered if anyones had any trouble and what they found. The ones i`m using at the mo are BF goodrich comp T/A`s and they suit the car well and look good.

Re: 15" tyres

apparently so, but Im of the opinion that 15'' look better and meatier...I think cooper cobras are available for our size but not a brilliant speed rating, for me thats not too much of a problem as Im after the raised white lettering for the look, but if somebody else has any sources for 15'' with RWL that would be good to know...

Re: 15" tyres

I've just put on some Goodyear Eagle GT +4s that are OWL. They are also H rated so that should just be good enough for normal street use

Re: 15" tyres

Check out my previous post re 15 inch tyres, there are at least two very good choices of V rated and above tyres(Avon and Michelin) but you wont find them at the normal dealers, check or search for the posts, all the info you need is there and you can stay legal as well, Simon

Re: 15" tyres

Here you go this is one of my old threads, also check out Avons from BMTR in Birmingham.

Check these out from a previous thread of mine and also Avon tyres from BMTR in Birmingham, they do a CRZZ tyre that a lot of original Cobra owners use. I am looking at a set of the new Michelins as soon as I have worn out my present set, which won't take long, good luck, Simon
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Right, at last good news, check out these new re-issued tyres from Michelin and available V rated NOW.Including some megga big, wide rears, yummy. Simon

Michelin TB15
Michelin TB15 Road/Race Tyres

Michelin's legendary TB15 intermediate tarmac rally tyre has been reintroduced. Offering astounding levels of grip whilst also now being road legal! The original range included the SB (slick for dry roads), TB (intermediate for dry and damp roads) and PB (rain for wet roads).
The 2004 TB15 features the same design as the original and an equivalent tread compound providing even better grip.
To make this tyre road legal Michelin have added a tread depth indicator, ETRTO size marking, DOT and EU numbers.
Original Applications of Michelin TB15
As this tyre is now road legal and V (150mph) rated it will be appropriate for all manner of high performance classic cars, kit cars, replicas and track day specials.
