AC Cars close down again

I was told recently that AC Cars Ltd in Frimley have unfortunatly closed down again,

They apparently did a deal with Carroll Shelby to supply 50 body and chassis units a year to the States.
AC have now gone into liquidation again, closing there doors for problably the last time.

Carroll shelby apparently had taken $2000,000 as deposits from customers for the cars that were going to be marketed as Shelby AC Cobras

Re: AC Cars close down again

Do, not worry, they have moved to Guildford. The rent on the old place got too much. CS&C ran a small article. I assume they are going to carry on with the chassis and body stuff for shelby??.

John.

Re: AC Cars close down again

There's never a Russian billionaires son around when you need one..........

One day someone will realise what a fantastic brand "AC" cars is and then start to market the thing as it should be.

In the meantime its hand to mouth management...........such a shame !!

Cheers,

Tony

Re: AC Cars close down again

AC 289 V8 ? I thought that AC were building the CRS in Malta to save on production costs and that is what I was told when I visited the factory a few months ago in Frimley
