New Style V5 Registration Certificate

The DVLA are in the process of replacing all existing V5's with a new format designed to harmonise the Certs accross all European countries. I received mine a couple of weeks ago and found the following change had been made in the special notes section.

The old V5 read: Kit Made From New Parts

The new one reads: Kit Built/Converted - Assembled from parts all of which may not be new.

My car was built by DB and registered as a new vehicle in 2003 so seems strange to change the wording in this way. I was going to write to them but before I did thought I would see if any others have had the same issue?

The notes also mention that the V5 should state if the vehicle has undergone an SVA test. There is no mention of that on my V5. Is this a problem?

Write to them about both points. The job experience person who reads your letter should apply the corrections without a murmer.

Chris - Sounds like I got the best deal. Good luck with sorting your issues.

Wilf - thanks. I will write a letter to them. What info should be shown regarding the SVA test?
