Insurance

Hi Guy's

Just started looking round for insurance for my cobra.
Got a good deal on my cossie from Adrian Flux, but this is a different beast.
Rob put me in touch with Blackford Bloor who give fully guaranteed agreed valuation but only up to £30k.
Any deals out there.

Graham.

Re: Insurance

Graham,

Got a quote from Footman & James whilst at the Exeter Kit Car Show for £288 on a £25K valuation, 3K miles a year. Backford quoted £446 for the same cover. F & J were also cheaper for the build cover.

Has anyone had good or bad experiences with Footman & James?

Re: Insurance

Hi Richard
BB quoted me £461.75 for 1500 miles and £503.75 for 3000 miles.
Will give Footman and James a try.

Thanks

Graham.

Re: Insurance

I've used FJ for the best part of 10 years on my lowly group 8 Spit, group 13 X1-9 ang group 19 Esprit and found they were always very compentative.

Never had to claim for anything other than a couple of windscreens though so i dont know how comp their comp cover is.

Re: Insurance

I believe FJ only go to 25k on value, And there have been posts on a problem with written guarantees on value. BB go to 30k value and you get a written guarantee subject to certification and photos. The strange thing is they both insure with Chauser
