| Re: How much to build a Dax? Simon, Obviously you have some idea of what this cost would be - and obviously there's someone else who would have a much better idea of what they would charge. However, as a third opinion, a guy at work has just had a Cater**m screwed together for him and that cost £2000 in labour (inc sva etc). I guess you would have to be thinking about at least twice that. btw I did suggest that he bring all the boxes in to work and we'd have it done in a couple of hours after work one night. Russ |

| Re: How much to build a Dax? I think the general thinking (For GDs at least) is that the chassis build takes 30 hours, and the body build takes 300 hours, IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING and if you have all of the parts and tools to hand. Call it 450 hours if you're not Dave Brookes multiply by minimum wage at £4.50 ish and you've got £2025. I dont get out of bed for less than £10 an hour, so somewhere up to £4.5k would be more reasonable.

| Re: How much to build a Dax? I bet this Dax project has not got "almost everything needed to build it apart from instruments". I bet there is at least £1,000 in "sundries" missing. David Large

Simon. Give me a call and I'll give you a break down of what's missing and what's needed if you like. Also since the new guy has started I'm building cars quicker that Dax can supply them, so if you'd like me to quote for the build I will. :thumb:
