| XJ40 parts used in cobra construction. Hi all, - help needed!! Ive been given the option of an Jag XJ40 at a not unreasonable cost, what I need to know is what bits could be used for cobra construction. Im building a GD so these bits will not be for me, (Ive already got my running gear sorted) I would buy the car and break it up for spares. I will however retain the wheels as they hopefully will fit my series 2/3 hubs and also maybe the steering column. What sort of prices have people paid for XJ40 donor parts? The car is in good nick and is a recent MOT failure for headlight beam out of adjustment, a small patch needed on a sill and the front brake discs need replacing. The guy who owns it cant be arsed to fix it!! So I might fit it up and run it for a bit if nothing else. Anyone got and ideas?
