Tremec speedo sender question

Having purchased a speedo sender plug from the States I am not sure it is the correct one.

The attached diagram shows the problem. The pins in the Tremec do not match with the ones on the sender. If the plug is pushed in they locate to either side with the plug body spacing them.

Anybody know if this is right (ie they sense the signal through the plastic body or do they have to mate as I think they probably should do. Your comments would be appreciated. The box is a TKO 600 by the way.

Thanks and Happy Xmas Guys.

You've got the wrong plug m8.
I use two of the small (Red) part insulated female spade connectors and push one side of them onto each terminal in the transmission and the speedo works fine.(terminal to the far left)
BTW you can wire them either way around and for a 3.54:1 diff you will be looking at around 35,400 pulses per mile.

Re: Tremec speedo sender question

According to a friend of mine I had to buy this connector...
It's from Ford Racing..
partnumber M-12071-J302
I didn't test it yet..
Within 10 days my tremec will arrive from the States (I hope).
I let you know whether it fits..
Regards,
Andy

Andy

How did your Tremec speedo connector work out?
Was the ford part the correct one?

Still working on the body shell polishing

Regards

Dave

Re: Tremec speedo sender question

Hi Dave,

I am still waiting for my tremec...I should arrived on the 14th January but the lost it in transport. Last week it was found...in Kazachstan !!!
I have no idea whether it survived the transport because I got some pictures from Kazachstan and the boxes were badly damaged.

If I am lucky, I can tell you this within a month
