V12 - Getrag

Anyone out there have a contact number for a company that made gearbox adapter plates called centreline. Bought a kit off them years ago and finally got to the stage of running things and have a problem.

If you haven't maybe you can help anyway,

V12 - 635i Getrag 5 speed. When the clutch slave cylinder is at full extension the pivot arm is hitting the pressure plate before the clutch moves! Think either the thrust bearing is too short or the pivot arm is the wrong shape, currently it is the original 635i item I think which is a failry straight pressed dteel item.

Any ideas would be appreciated, not much of a BMW expert myself.

Oh and before you start I had V12 lying around a small block was very expensive back then!

Re: V12 - Getrag

Centreline now theres a blast from the past? I think they not in business anymore, never see adverts for them.

Try Rob Beere Racing in Coventry they are V12 Jag engine specialists and offer a Getrag adaptor kit they could help you im sure.
I bought a V12 DAX some years ago with a 5 speed getrag, it was a much quicker car than my dads V12 E type he had at the same time but the Dax was because it was so much lighter and had 6 weber 40IDF to suck through. The V12 engine was a popular fitment way back in `80s small block chevys and fords where just not about and the market dor them was smaller than it is now.
Good luck try Rob Beere they are a great bunch of lads.
Adrian

Re: V12 - Getrag

Adrian, spoke to an engineer at Rob Beere today who was helpful as far as he could be without knowing my complete set up. Thanks once again. Still a few queries to sort but with a little hard earned cash for my local machine shop I think I know how to resolve it. Just a question of clearences etc. hence my latest post.
