McLeod Bellhousing (scattershield)

Does anyone for certain know if the McLeod steel bellhousings are made by Lakewood (as is rumoured) just that I'm considering converting mine to slave cyclinder operation from hrdraulic bearing, and Lakewood list parts, but can't find anything for McLeod.

Real Steel supplied my Mcleod housing and at the time(1997) they also did the clutch arm and bearing carrier to suit so maybe they can help?

I dont think there is room for a slave assembly using a scatter sheild on a Ram chassis. I think you would have to return to a bell housing to get it all to fit. I remember getting this explained to me by Klimcke.

Thanks for the reply.I asked Roger Klimcke, and he thinks that the Lakewood and McLeod scattershields were the same (made by Lakewood), and that the lakewood bits, combined with a BL Mini slave cylinder, would fit the RAM, but Roger wasn't 100%, hence the post!

I'm gonna ask Real Steel, and then get serious with the tape measure; I'm still well chuffed with the car, and I've cured the water leak (Thermostat housing, took longer to get the tools out than to fix it )
