Hi, could someone do me a favour and measure the size of their pipes exiting from their coolant header tank, I am building a Dax with a Big block Ford V8, just mocking up the tank in 4" ally and need the optimum sizes for the pipes, thanks in advance. dave

Re: header tank pipe size

regarding the header tank , i have made one which is 14 inchs long by 4inch diameter. i have placed a rad cap and overflow on top, and a 1/4 inch connection towards the bottom of the tank , this is connected into the overflow on the existing radiator. i have fiited a cap with no spring on it, this works fine, i only need it to take up the expansion in the water system and also take out any air.
