octane rating

Hi, before I go and use too much CR, what octane are the UK fuels? I am going to be close to 11-1 so will need some decent fuel to prevent detonation. thanks Dave

If you have problems you can always use a fuel additive, as a lot of them are Octane boosters as well. eg http://www.castrolclassicoils.com/valvemp_new.htm obviously you will not need it for your valve seats but you may find the octane boost helpfull.

Re: octane rating

Helicopters probably more dangerous than a Cobra. Certainly killed more people, especially piloted by a PPL and even more especially if its a R22 or a R44 !!!
Take care.

How did you guess, I am indeed a PPL pilot with an R22 rating, working on the R44 conversion though and then when finances allow the commercial course.
