What Camshaft

As part of the 2005 winter maintenance programme, (yes I know it's early, but the exchange rates good right now) I intend to change the valve gear including camshaft on my chevy 307ci.
What cams are popular, how do I know whats good, whats bad ?. there is so much information out there I'm on overload..anyone help???

take a look on www.compcams.com they have a good on line cam helper,failing that give somewhere like summit racing a bell and talk to their tech dept,they are very helpfull

If you want to go hot, look at the Crower level 3 or level 4 cams. They arent cheap, but you gets what you pays for. Also Herbert do a very nice hot Road cam that Kenny Coleman Raves about. Gives equal performance to the pErformer RPM package but the profile gives you better driveability and Torque in the low range area.

Dont know which one it is as I went for a level 4 Crower, but Im sure if you rang Kenny at EDA in Castleford he will let you know
