| Clutch setup for a T5 Folks has any one got any advice/pictures for mounting a clutch slave cylinder to a T5. Was going to go for a Mcleod Hydraulic but after seeing recent posts decided against it. Also what would be the best size slave cylinder to go for to make the clutch pedal as light as possible. It will be going in a GD not that this should matter should it ?? Thanks Mark |

| Re: Clutch setup for a T5 There's actually nothing much wrong with a properly fitted Mcleod hydraulic throw out..........ask Dave Brookes, I had the same worries but he's fitted god knows how many and never had any comebacks.

| Re: Clutch setup for a T5 Chris thanks for the speedy reply. I like the look of this. I think that my T5 originated from a Mustang also, the mouting lug from what I can make out looks the same as yours. From the picture I can't quite make out what the eye bolt bit needs to locate to is it the engine mounting ? Found one in the Summit catalogue but are they availlable from the UK. Mark |

| Re: Clutch setup for a T5 I am in no doubt that the McCloud is a fine piece of kit when properly installed. However, logically a failed Wilwood is £45, 2 bolts and 1/2 hour to replace. Whereas the McCloud is Gearbox out, new pressure plate cos it's covered in fluid (£100) plus the cost of parts.

| Re: Clutch setup for a T5 the wilwood cylinders can also be fitted with 2 eye bolt ends, i have mine with one eye bolt on the clutch fork, which i can pack out to extend the length of the release fork (if there is enough room between it and the chasis) and the other with a bracket made to fit the tko gearbox. you can also shorten the length of the stud coming out of the slave cylinder if it helps you with location.
