Re: exhaust diy

They've certainly got some good stuff there. By making your own you can go for a tri-Y design which increases low end torque and gains around 2" of ground clearance which is well worth having.

Re: exhaust diy

Agreed, Some good stuff. But why is it that no one stocks 1 3/4" bends???? The most popular size for 350 headers

Re: exhaust diy

Hi Neil.

Yes I know 1 3/4" is available in Dairy Bends. It just confuses me that Exhaust tubing suppliers seem to exclude it from their range

With a tri-Y design where the primaries are short you can get away with 1.5" primaries and then into 2" secondaries with the added benefit of better clearance around the port and spark plug.

Re: exhaust diy

does anyone have a cut open shot of what's actually 'in' a good reasonably quiet sidepipe at all?? or remember seeing such? i really want to give it a go .....but not waste time /resources getting it very wrong..!
i'll be looking at 4" up to 6" main pipe if i can source it...

Dosn't work too well with Sidepipes and 4 into 1 collectors though.

Re: exhaust diy

No, it would look a bit strange with only two pipes exiting the sill.
