Cologne 2.9i mileage

Hi, im looking for a donor car for my sumo build and have found a Cologne V6 2.9i thats done 160,000 miles, anyone have any idea what kind of milage these engines can take and if it would be worth fitting. Also does anyone know where you can get rebuild kits for these engines or how much a DIY rebuild costs approx. Thanks for any help.

I've just rebuilt a 2.9i which had done around 130,000 miles. Not sure what the service history was but I found that the main thrust bearing had almost completely fractured, cutting a groove into the crankshaft which gave 5mm endfloat. Had to find a new crankshaft which took me a while. Surpisingly, everthing else seemed in reasonable shape.
Not easy to get any spares from a Ford main dealers but I managed to get everything I needed from:

Our 'other' car is a Sierra 4x4 with a Cologne 2.9. It's done 135.000 miles with reasonable oil changes and - touching wood - still goes really well. I know someone who sold his Granada 2.9 at 180,000 miles and it was also running well, and quieter than mine.
Can you see and hear it running before you buy?
