| Alan head bolts Anybody know where I can get stainlees allan head bolts, 4mm met. fine, with matching nyloc and washers - mail order by the weekend if possible!!

| Re: Alan head bolts Hi Jonny Are you asking for metric fine thread bolts. Just thought I'd ask since these are harder to get hold off. If you require bolts and nuts stick with standard threads. I used Imperial (UNF) for 99% of my car. Try http://www.namrick.co.uk/ I used them for all my supplies and they usually deliver next day if you want it. Craig.

| Re: Alan head bolts Craggle, the reason I was looking at fine thread bolts, although harder to get hold of, was for fixing the pipes and cables to the chassis rails (dax de dion). With those fine threads I thought u could get more threads in the wall thickness giving a better fix. All advice gratefully received - i'm just a novice at this!

Alternatively, use a hardened threaded hex headed self tapping fastener either bright zinc plated or stainless steel. Dax supplied me with these when I carried out the jobs you describe. Steve

| Re: Alan head bolts Personally i'd rivnut it rather than tap it if the metals thinish. You could try www.avonstainlessfasteners.co.uk got all my SS stuff from them, and they do mail order.
