SVA questions

I remember reading somewhere that the Battery terminals and starter solenoid connections must be insulated to pass SVA? Is this the case? Can't find any reference to it in the manual.

If so any ideas where I can get some covers to do the job?

Thanks

Re: SVA questions

My battery is the boot and I have no covers on the terminals and it passed SVA Ok. there is a boot over the starter terminal on the motor.

Not a bad idea to fit them though to prevent accidental short circuits when you are working in the area.

Craig.

Re: SVA questions

Very good idea, I bought the Stainless Steel bulk head cover from Pilgrim and only covered the terminals with insulating tape; didn't hold and welded a hole in the stainless - 40 quid down the pan!
