| Re: Hawk 289 Yes Hawk cars are still made - they have a web site. I have a 289 FIA. Next to the Crendon they are definitely the most accurate Cobra replicas in terms of body shape and chassis. They also use the right engine - a FORD!! Great attention to detail, great choice of running gear, great cars.

| Re: Hawk 289 Really? Thanks, Chris. There is something about swathes of curved aluminium isn't there? When I went to test drive a Caterham in their home town, they had a racing Lotus from the 50's (or possibly 60's) that evoked a similar response. Almost worth buying the bodyshell just to look at... ...my next house will have one suspended from the ceiling...
