Brass Stock

Guys,

I am having real trouble finding somewhere where I can buy a bit of brass stock - mainly because I don't want / can't afford a 3m length of the stuff. All I need is about 12" of 20mm brass bar - free cutting would be helpful.

Any ideas on a source near Luton in Bedfordshire?

Cheers

Milton Keynes Metals Ltd., Unit 2 Ridge Hill Farm, Little Horwood Road, Nash, Milton Keynes, MK17 0EH
Tel: (+44) (0)1296 713631

Email: "SALES@miltonkeynesmetals.sagehost.co.uk"

They can post it to you if you prefer, not used myself but heard they're quite good; they do a lot with model makers so small lots should be no problem.

Re: Brass Stock

Hi Jonny,

I use the local scrappy, not the car type but the type who collect from local industry. They generally sort reusable bar stock, tubing and sheet and store them somewhere safe. Ally and non ferrous only in my scrappy but generally they have what I want or something near too.

Re: Brass Stock

Thanks guys.

MK metals seem like a pretty good idea - they are reasonable as well - much cheaper than the evil bay seller unfortunately - but thanks for the link Colin.
