351 W water pipework

Has anyone fitted a 351W in a Dax De Dion and has a handy list of the water hoses you needed available. I want to get the radiator in asap and would like to have the hoses with me when I do it rather than having to put it in, measure, order and come back to it.

The fittings needed for the heater hoses and expansion tank would be useful too if available.

Cheers Guys

Jon

Re: 351 W water pipework

Hi jonny.
The Dax waterpipe kit will work fine but!
The lower stainless tube needs to have the header tank take off at the same angle as the 90 deg bend (Normally (On Chevy applications) it is at 90 degrees to the 90 bend) If that makes sense.
The heatyer hose take offs for the engine are 1/2" NPT 5/8" hose tails.
The last picture in my gallery is the only one I have of this set up.
Feel free to e-mail me.......I have almost used up all my allowed image space on here so I dare not post pictures too often.

Re: 351 W water pipework

Hi Jon,

I would also be interested in any info you get from the forum etc regarding your post as I will be in a similair situation to you when I come to install my 351 Windsor based stroker into my AK. Incidentally checked on Summit last night to see if I could buy a "hose kit" but no such luck.

Regards,
Martyn

Re: 351 W water pipework

There is no way any one except the manufacturer can supply a hose kit when we all use different radiators, header tanks heaters etc etc, and we put them in different places. Fit your engine and then it is really clear what you will need.
