Ford Powered GDs

Hi guys - so who's fitted a 351W into a GD? If so, which 'box, bellhousing & clutch arrangements did you go for? Just considering all options here for the future build!! I've narrowed the choice down to one of two cars, one of which is the GD - & the other choice shall remain a secret for now

BTW - was very impressed with the new GD Mk IV. Also, Douggie from GD was just about the most friendly & helpful guy that I spoke with all day!! Excellent. A lot more than can be said for one of the other Cobra manufacturers that I 'attempted' to chat with...although he seemed more interested in texting on his mobile rather than talking to me! Sales must be very good

Cheers,
Pete.

Hi Pete,

Cant help with the engine though Im putting a 302 into a GD (when Ive ordered the chassis!) Ill be using the Tremec TKO600 box most probably with a Repower bellhousing. The 302 is the same size as the 351 apart for the 351's deck height being taller.

2nd what you say about GD, had a good chat with Andy on Sunday about the KM IV.

Cheers

Re: Ford Powered GDs

Hi Pete,

I'm got a simular engine / box arrangement as Andy, I have a GD with a 302 and Tremec TKO box. The box and bellhousing were both bought from repower.

GD have always made me feel welcome - the're a good bunch!

Re: Ford Powered GDs

Thanks guys - just considering my options! I'd like to get an engine build started this year, so it's very helpful to see what other people have already had experience with!

Cheers,
Pete.
