Hopefully someone out there can help me, the choke on my ford 2 litre OHC engine in my sumo has seized, is this an easy thing to replace and how much should i expect to pay for a bog standard weber, and where's the best place to get one from.

Re: auto choke

Plug in 32/36 DCD thats the one I would get for the pinto. And put a manual choke conversion on it.

Re: auto choke

If it's an automatic choke then they work on a bi-metallic strip principle - either water heated or electronically heated. Cost will depend on what's gone wrong but you should still find plenty of spare parts in scrap yards etc. can you tell us what has actually seized

I would suggest that you find a 38 DGMS/DGAS as fitted to the V6 engines . If you want a new (Weber)carb then contact Webcon - i just turned up at their place near Feltham and they were extremely helpful
