Heater

Hello
I have just fitted my VW Polo heater. Is it according to SVA necessery to be able to change the temperature on it. At the moment I set the heater on hot. So if I turn the switch on the dash on I only get hot air.

any help appreciated.

Marc

Re: Heater

Hi Marc.
Hot is all you need.
The heater needs to be there if a windscreen is fitted so that it can be demisted.

Hot air is all thats required but must be fan assisted and directed to windshield.

Re: Heater

Thanks

I forgot to ask! There is two pipes going to the windscreen. Do I have to link to other ones to the drivers footwell and passenger footwell? I think it will be hot enough through the exhaust headers.

Re: Heater

Don't worry about your feet, you will need all the air you can get for the screen.

Have you got a pic of the pipework you've got fitted on the Polo heater Mike? As I live in the frozen North and plan on driving it on clear days in the winter I reckon heat on the feet might not be a bad thing.
