ETB Clock and SVA

I understand that the 52mm clock from ETB will fail SVA because of the adjuster for the hands, please correct me if I am wong.

If so, how do you recommend getting 'round it??

Many thanks in advance:thumb:

Re: ETB Clock and SVA

Thanks John:thumb:

I was hoping for an alternative answer, I don't really want to take the dash back out and start installing a clock afterwards.

I have just trimmed the dash and put the tacho and speedo in, the clock will sit between them, do I cut the leather for the clock and leave a hole (another SVA failure) or as you say, wait till after?

There mut be some way of getting the button through SVA?

Re: ETB Clock and SVA

A hollowed out pencil rubber or a Carb vacuum port bung slipped over the knob should do it (You may have to attach it with a small blob of silicon though)

Re: ETB Clock and SVA

I found a little rubber cap and used black sealant to stick it on. Passed a treat. Hell a blob of sealant on its own would do to I suspect.

I'm not familiar with the ETB clock but......
If it is a push button then cut it off flush with the face of the clock, you can still adjust it with a pen or other suitable pointy object when the need arises.

I think it is a twisty one? The pen might just spin on the end of the rod?

Will keep it in mind though, thanks Dave

Thanks Richard, this looks like the best idea so far, along with Chris, what sort of "cap" did you use
