| Re: fuel feed pipes Tinka, VW and Seat do have a swirl tank outside the main tank that holds the electrical pump too. It reduce the noise of the electrical pump (submerged in fuel) I think that it would be easy to install and cheap than any BMW stuff. See pictures. http://www.donostia.demon.nl/1.JPG http://www.donostia.demon.nl/2.JPG

| Re: fuel feed pipes The swirl pot and pump I got cost 15 from a local breakers, it is a pain to fit as you need to cut the tank open as I mentioned but once fitted you cant hear the pump at all except for a 3 second burst when you first turn on the ignition and it primes and pressurises the system. But if Tony has the room your system would be easier to fit, just most of us are really tight for space.

| Re: fuel feed pipes Purple AK NO just gravity and a short hose. Be careful with the pressure, there are different models there. Tinka, YES the first option would be a submerged type (new tank) at the main tank and forget the swirl pot. But work at a fuel tank after it was used can be very dangerous and only for specialist. All Remember no matter how much you clean, it will contain hydrocarbons. Steam blowing (long duration) and always with a hydrocarbons sniffer than you can work on the tank. Caustic Soda will help to scrub the big part but not all. Please be careful! Regards, Cobra289
