Clutch master cylinder

Hi all,

I`m new to the forum and wonder if anyone can help me?

I am fitting a new clutch flexie pipe to my BRA and also need to renew the seals in the master cylinder. the only info I have on the type is some numbers on the cylinder body, Girling 70 and 646735? with cc4 underneath it. All these numbers are cast in, no stamped serial No`s etc

Thanks

Ian

Ian welcome

This is a post from Piston Heads Forum, sounds similar to yours. :thumb:

Got mine only last week, jobs sorted.

The part no I quoted was Girling 70 64676310. The chaps at Merlin were helpful and sorted it from that.
Tel no 01249-782-101.
Regards
David

If it is a BRA 289 then it is most likely an MGB part. I think there is an MG parts specialist in Bromsgrove...................well there used to be.

Cheers

Re: Clutch master cylinder

Lucas Girling still have some retail outlets (often associated with their fuel injection side). If you give one of them a call with the numbers they are usually pretty helpful - I have always been very satisfied with their service in regards to knowledge - usually best to buy the parts somewhere else afterwards though as they tend to be very expensive!!

Hi Ian

Welcome to the forum, Sorry you are having a problem with your clutch cylinder.

If you have no luck in Bromsgrove finding your parts, I would have a quick ride to redditch to a company called SUREPART they are based on howard road, park farm ind estate. They are very helpful.

Hopefully you will be able to come along to our local club meets and show us you car.:thumb:
