| Re: Remove those flash lines Don't know about anyone else but I just take them down with 800 grade wet and dry ( use plenty of soapy water), then tidy up the area with 1000 grade, finishing up with 1200, then Farcla ( G3) the body with an polisher fitted with initially a coarse sponge and then a fine sponge using a good amount yet more water to lubricate the sponge. Cheers, Tony

| Re: Remove those flash lines David, if you go the stanley blade route, wrap masking tape around each end to build it up slightly, you can experiment the amount to give you the depth of cut to slide the blade over the flash line taking a small amount at a time, you can then slowly and carefully take off the majority prior to using the said wet/dry methods, obviously take care with the blade, and change it often as it will very quickly blunt, making the job more difficult. regards Dave |

| Re: Remove those flash lines I used the same method as above with the masking tape, but instead of a Stanley blade I used the non toothed side of a broken hacksaw blade, about 6". It gives you more to get hold off and more control. :thumb: :thumb:
