PCV Setup

Hi Guys,

This may be just a question of cosmetics & personal taste but I am trying to decide what kind of PCV hose setup to run.

I like the thought of stainless braided hose from the valve cover PCV valve to the carburrettor base, alternatively I may run rigid pipework with some anodised fittings.

Can anyone advise on either setup or does anyone have any images of their setups?

Any help appreciated,

Regards,
Martyn

To embed images into the forum, copy the BBCODE into the post. Its in one of the three fields at the bottom of the image.

Starts img

Or you can embed the thumbnail using linked thumbnail.

When they are highlighted, hold down ctrl and then hit c and that will copy the text. Right click is disabled on the gallery page.

Hard line would be OK both parts doesn't have movements from their respectively position.
What I plan to do is use a normal hose with a copper tube inside to have a nice bends and a fixed routing. (Just for the looks)

PS
Now test the embedded possibility. It works!

Just been looking at my pictures and you will notice that I have a PCV valve on each rocker cover, which is wrong as you need the airfilter side free flowing, even though there is one on there, I have taken all the inside valve bits out so it is free flowing.

Well done! That is the right way.

Yes that is what I did in my injected engine, clean out the internals of one valve that will works as the breather and the other as the real PCV.
The PCV should be from the vacuum side and the breather just from the clean air side (No vacuum)

At the injected engine there is a pass through channel at the ‘throttle body’ that connects to the breather valve.

Doing this way you will have a clean engine and you will not get oil fumes at the area. I like that.
