Front suspension -How Stiff?

Hi All,

I've just fitted one side of the front suspendion - Jag XJ6 upper and lower wishbones with poly bushes (and greased the contact faces) and installed the upright and hub. It seems to take a lot fo effort to move the whole suspension assembly up and down (no damper or spring fitted!). Having never built (or dismantled) front suspension before I have no idea if this is normal or is something wrong?

Or do I need to start having three shredded wheat for breakfast?

Thanks,

Simon.

It is heavy stuff, I was advised not to tighten the lower suspension wishbone nuts up fully until it is sat at the correct ride height with the engine in, my top arms moved quite easily on there own.
