Rear / Brake light

One of my rear lights has a dodgy contact on the brake light - it seems like the spring has gone on the contact itself (the contact for the rear light still springs back when pushed and works no problem, only the brake side is faulty).

I have bodged a repair for now, but I'm not convinced it will stand up too well.

The part number for the light fitting is Lucas L488 but nowhere in Salisbury has any idea where I could get a new (or working second hand) one.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Cheers,

Richard

Stafford Vehicle Components list them £15 + £5 p&p

www.s-v-c.co.uk

You could try adding a bit more solder to the bulb contacts first.

Thanks Clive,

found another site http://www.vintagemotorspares.com which has them slightly cheaper @ £13.75 for the assembly or £4.50 for just the fitting. Postage was also slightly cheaper. I'll give both a call tomorrow so either way I should have the solution.
