I have the same kit from repower. However the rod on my slave pushes all the way back into the housing. Hope this isn't a stupid question, but have you fluid in the system and have you released the bleed nipple on the slave before trying to push the rod back in. It should go nearly all the way in. From your picture it seems to be all the way out. May be it is just my interpretation of the picture ?

Right then.... the saga continues....
Got an adjustable ball spigot - fitted that. Fitted just the belhousing and adjusted the spigot so the fork was in the right place. Put it all together..... and...... The domed nut won't fit into the recess on the fork!!! It looks as if the bracket is not bent back towards the gearbox enough. The slave rod as it is fully in (bar 5mm) does not have enough play in it to allow the domed nut to fit in the recess. I have quadruple checked the fort and it is seated properly on the spigot. What on earth could be wrong now? Photo's below - if you spot any stupid mistakes I would be eternally grateful. Cheers, Simon.

Remove the washer from the slave cylinder bore.
pic 2, is the piston pushed all the back in the slave, ortherwise it will pop out the bore when you press the clutch.

I thought about bending the bracket but it as it's quite thick plate with three "spot" welds I don't think it will survive the process intact & straight. I think I need a new bracket - below is a photo which shows quite a bit of clearance between the bracket and the box - other peoples seem to be a bit closer? Simon.

Also, will the slave cylinder clamp allow it to move any further back?
Lastly - do you have an adjustable pivot pin? You could probably get away with some more adjustment to free up the salve pushrod.

Not too keen on fixed cylinders anyway, theyre pushing against a lever whose contact point is moving in an arc, and even though its approx 200mm rad, the contact point if recessed to take the ball end of the rod, will move enough to bind the cylinder somewhat and make the clutch action heavier. I think it wqould make a much better job if the back of the slave cylinder was mounted on a pivot, but I suppose its an extreme length to go to.
Looking at what youve got there, a little 'adjustment' of the bracket angle should get you in position; I think you should be able to take the bracket off, pop it in a vice and tweak it with a soft mallet; t doesnt look like it will need much to get in in the right position; or as previously suggested, you could make a spacer to move the cylinder bracket out; looking at your pic Im guessing a spacer cut from 5/16" or 8mm ally plate will do the trick.
