| Get an 'engine supplier' to type you a letter or receipt stating '1972 (or whatever) Rover V8 engine serial number blah blah supplied reconditioned' that should cover it.

| if you contact the motor heritage centre at Gayden give them your engine number. they have access to the Rover archives and for a £10 (I think) they will send you a letter by return of post. I used this at Southampton and it was fine Steve

| I used 2 different website print outs and also took a Ford manual along with me for the V8. This was acceptable as I explained the engine dating to the SVA inspector in Glasgow. John.

| Just been through the SVA, and the tester was happy with a print out from Rimmer's catologue from their website; didn't even specify the date, just the age range for the RV8 on my block number - think I got lucky, but web print out seemed to be OK. Jon
