Hi Stu,

Just ring up Pilgrim, they will give you your unique number over the phone and make a record of it for themselves, this ensures that it is unique and no comeback on you if for some reason you manage to duplicate someone else's number by doing it yourself. They use a very simple formula, year of chassis manufacture, your telephone number, all prefixed with PS.

Get your local trophy shop to engrave your VIN plate. More professional looking and costs about a fiver.

Chassis number

Good idea to stamp the number on the chasssis before you put the body on, much easier to swing the hammer

Damn! I knew there was something
There is a good space on the chassis where the inner arches go on the front, good job the arches are optional though.

I got the chassis number decided but when it came to putting on the plate there was no way I would fit 17 digits in the space provided, so I put the rest of the numbers in the engine number box below and filled in the 'engine number' writing, so basically the chassis number is in 2 boxes.
Is there a regulation against this?

Figures/numbers must be at least 4mm high.
I also think that the minimum number of digits is thirteen. (Was last year when I registered mine)
