Gear shift lever

I posted about this a couple of weeks ago but have now changed my mind about what I want. I think, given that we have fiddled with the dash etc, we are going to have to get a straight gear lever in stainless and bend it to the shape that we want.

Any ideas where I can get a straight stainless lever for a Tremec T56?

Make one, off cut of 5/8" bar to you height, cut 1/2" UNF thread for g/knob (real size) silver solder, braze or tig flat sided block to bottom and drill to mount, should cost you about £5

I've got one going spare It's actually a drilled Rover gearstick, I believe. It was a bit long for my purposes, but worked fine. Not sure if it's actually stainless - might be chromed steel. It's about 25cm end to end.

I took a Hurst comp shifter handle for a 67 Mustang and cut it down and turned it around. Drilled the holes for the shifter mounting point. I already had a piece of aluminum block to offset the shifter(toploader, you probably don't need to offset it with a t56)
It works well.
I have cut it down a little shorter from when the photo was taking and it is now perfect.
I had a replica of the original style handle but it is not as comfortable
as the Hurst one is.

Neil O is a Gimp? He looked pretty mobile to me the last time I saw him.
But gimp might have a totally different meaning than I am thinking.

Oh yes. Trust me it does, but I shall leave NeilO to explain just what.

My youngest son told me that joke. It made me have the same reaction.
