Not cobra related - lawn mowers!!

Odd question, but I have a lawn mower that is reasonably new (not old enough to throw away and feel content). Fuel tank is obviously formed of plastic in two halves and bonded together. That bond has broken at one point (just come away) meaning that the fuel tank is effectively useless. Not willing to pay £100 for a new one when it is just glued together.

What is the best thing to use to stick back together. I was thinking wurth, but there is no mention on the tube of persistent resilience to petrol.

Any ideas guys?

Thanks,

jon

What about one of these plastic welding companies, the ones that do fairings and bumpers and stuff? Just a thought...

i think the biggest problem is likely to be identifying the type of plastic that it is made from and therefore the type of resin required.
