Filter King

Does anyone have experience of these? Looks good and presumably will help regulate flow to my Edelbrock now that I have my Facet pump.

Probably most folks with carbs will be using one.

Great for filtering and pressure regulating. Go for the all metal one as a glass bowl might break and leak petrol over the exhausts!

You might also want to check this option out as well its certainly cheaper than the Filter King.
I am awaiting to pick mine up and to establish if a return line to the tank is required, if so A filter King is the better option, if not then its one of these for me.

Just been talking to Jim Robinson (JRV about pressure regulaters. For a rv8 and an edlebrok carb set up i need to be running 3.5 to 4 psi.

I'd rather spend the few extra quid for the benefit of a filter. If you only want a regulator the Filter King do one cheeper than Edelbrock http://www.burlen.co.uk/partDetail.aspx?partID=52491

I use a 67mm filter king with a facet pump on an RV8 with Weber500 kit - works well. I made the mistake of getting the glass bowl, so left mine in the boot straight after the pump (alloy one on order so I can re-site). Also remember to put a cheapo filter betwen the tank and the pump, worth protecting the pump for the sake of a few quid, mine already has gunk in the filter after 600 miles.

Filter Kings work fine - get the "largest" one they do for a V8. You can get a built in pressure guage so you can set th pressure - the Filter King incliudes an adjustable regulator.

Thanks chaps.
I think its Fuel King for me with guage. I was thinking of siting the pump in the back end with the tank given the noise they apparently make, while keeping the regulator up front.

Is there a favoured configuration?

If I was building my second cobra - I would spend more time ensuring that the pump housing was silent

event though the pumps and filterws are in a fuel proof box with a drain, you can still hear them running
