| Hi Frank Not a problem with water loss. Over the winter I want to fit sidepipes and need to change the exhaust manifolds, the manifolds I have will not fit with the header tank in the position it's in. It's the Pilgrim one tall cylindrical. I need to angle it over about 40 degrees from the vertical to get enough clearance. The air gap will still be at the top and so I wondered if anyone could see a problem with trying this. Regards Stu. |

| Hi Kevin I haven't got any pictures and the car is back together with underslung exhausts. The problem is, the manifold is too close to the bulkhead and will not fit with the header tank in the standard Pilgrim position, however if I turn the tank anticlockwise (looking from the front) about 40 degrees it all fits, but obviously the tank and cap are not vertical. I just wondered if anyone could see a problem with me doing this. I had intended doing this over the holiday, but an unexpected death in the family has meant a lack of time to try. Regards Stu. |

| Stu, do you know how to go into my Photo Gallery, you will see the layout I used. Although I see no problem with laying the tank over at 45 degrees providing it is one of the upright ones, and you dont have a water loss problem, can you have it tipping to one side of the car, as if you angle it forward or backward you may loose water when you brake or accelerate due to serge. | Hi Frank The tank will be angled sideways, and so should be OK, I had intended to have a go at doing this over these few days but circumstances have dictated otherwise, when things get back to normal I shall have a go at it. Regards Stu. |

| Frank Thanks for your input, I have now fitted the sidepipes and twisted the header tank. So far the running temp is OK and it hasn't hissed steam everywhere. The only real difference is it's a heck of a lot louder now Regards Stu. |
