Jag Axles

What is the going rate for a set of front and rear jag axles? I have been quoted £600 inc the V5 and delivered to my door.

Paul

Thumbs up re axles

Seph, that would be a decent price delivered from abroad!! you should be able to halve that if you do some research. Dave

I paid 200 for a whole XJ6 ! The nice chaps at the scrap yard removed the bits I needed and kept all the rest.

I must admit though the removal methods they used were a bit severe

Ditto.
£200 should be enough. £250 tops.
£50 could get them delivered pretty much anywhere in the UK mainland.

There is a bonus to being wy up north then. The scrapies down this neck of the woods are getting wise to Jaguar and sierra parts and demand alot more than that. I usually pay between £400 & £600 dependant on what diff etc is required.

It is a little on the expensive side when all you really do with the parts is use them for exchange value.

1989 JAGUAR XJ6 WHITE: Spares, repair or banger on eBay, also, Jaguar, Cars, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 15-May-08 18:37:45 BST)

If your building an XJ6 based car of course, ask a local scrapyard near you if they will strip the parts that you need or perhaps let you strip it on site so you don;t have to drag the shell away.

My father-in-law has a Y reg XJ12 if anyone wants it. It's sitting gathering rust at the moment. V5C, SORN'ed etc. It hasn't moved for a few years so will need trailering. He'll accept offers.

Cool

i have just had a look at what i paid for my front and rear jag axles

the v12 front end was £20.00
plus delivery of £5.00

the first non lsd axle was £25.00
the second v12 lsd axle was £50.00

but that was in 1987/1988
so if you brought all the jag axels you could get your hands on back then you make a big profit on them now
a lot better the my endowment has dune in the last twenty years ?

don't buy pork belly's buy jag axels instead
much better investment
