Fire extinguisher

Hi,

decided to fit a fire extinguisher "just in case" and was thinking about self tapping screws, just in front of drivers seat on floor.......is that a good idea or am i likely to screw through anything important (ie fuel line?).
I was thinking about panel behind the seats but conscious of a large fuel tank located in that vicinity!

mmmmm...self tappers....

In the event of a frontal impact...be prepared for the self tappers to rip out of the GRP and allow the 1kg lump of metal with razor sharp screw ends to shoot forward slice down your legs opening up your arteries and crush your feet against the front of the footwell

There was a similar thread running just a few days ago.

Where to mount fire extinguisher

Might get some ideas from there.

Craig.
