Ford Sierra L S Diff.

Hi,

Could anyone reccommend a reliable source for either second hand or preferably reconned Ford LSD Diffs?

I have a fairly urgent need for a replacement 7" 3.6:1 LSD.

Cheers,

Andy

http://www.fenlandfordspares.co.uk/ looks a likely candidate. Or Donor Spares used to specialise in Ford stuff

I can't actually recommend these Andy because I've never used them but they might be worth a shout:-

Hi Andy:

How about any of these:

sierra cosworth 2wd differential (diff) on eBay, also, Ford, Car Parts, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 19-May-08 17:47:44 BST)

Ford Scorpio Cosworth Limited Slip Differential / DIFF on eBay, also, Ford, Car Parts, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 19-May-08 06:45:00 BST)

FORD SIERRA XR4X4 ++ LSD REAR DIFF ++ IDEAL 4 KITCAR on eBay, also, Ford, Car Parts, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 23-May-08 21:17:25 BST)

Sierra Limited Slip Diff on eBay, also, Ford, Car Parts, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 27-May-08 15:20:00 BST)

SIERRA XR4X4 3.62 COSWORTH 4X4 LIMITED SLIP DIFF 7 INCH on eBay, also, Ford, Car Parts, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 28-May-08 18:58:12 BST)

And this looks very nice, but expensive:
Group A Poly Diff Mount - Sierra (inc. Cosworth), XR4Ti on eBay, also Suspension Components, Performance Tuning Parts, Car Tuning Styling, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 22-May-08 16:13:04 BST)

I just bought a new standard diff mount, direct from Ford at a cost of £40.00

Cheers

Thanks Dave,

Trouble is getting the things shipped without a load of hassle. Most of those say collection only.
Most carriers I have tried are either silly money or only collect from business addresses. Some get funny about oil in the casings.
I do keep my eye out for Ford LSD's that are not too far from home but at the moment I have a customer car that has a duff diff. The shower of #### that put the car together for him sold a 'as new / recon' unit but on close inspection i can garantee that it has not been apart for quite some time. Just shot blasted and painted.
He really wants to fit a recon unit and the only one I have are second hand. I don't really have the time to strip and overhaul one at the moment so I am looking for recon exchange at a sensible price. That is one that is less than Rally Design at around £600 by the time vat and shipping are all included.

I actually prefer to source a complete back end for my Aston's as this includes all the matching components rather that finding bits here and bobs there where you can easily end up with bits like brake sliders missing just when you want to get on with the job.

So if anyone has any LSD back ends spare please let me know.

Andy
