I assume that the Dax supplied kit is ok??? This looks to all intents and purposes copper and I flared my own ends (if you'll pardon the pun!!)

Nothing wrong with copper pipes as long as the correct fittings and clamps are used.
Testament to this is how many old classic cars still run with the original brake pipes. Main factor is dissimilar metal galvanic corrosion which comes about when using steel pipes with copper/brass fittings and vica versa. Indeed some may argue that steel pipes are prone to rust which copper is not ? I personally would use steel as the copper pipes could split when using booster ( servoed) systems due the higher line pressures developed.

Copper is just so soft I would worry about the line vibrating against the frame or road debris hitting a line.
But if it works and the government says it is OK then I am fine with it. Carry on gentlemen.

I had a brand new Volvo 850 some years ago and that was fitted with Kunifer Brake pipes. If it's good enough for Volvo then I'm happy with that. I do however have a few reservations on the use of the more ductile copper.

I would imagine that would make the copper tubing pretty hard. What is used in cars manufactured in the UK?
