Another MOT question - feedback

Well it passed. BUT, although the MAC certificate has n/a against CO2 and HC the tester pointed out that the V5 has the following stated in Section 3 special Notes:

1. Rebuilt - assembled from parts some or all of which are not new.
2. SVA Cert issued 10 05 2005 emission limit - %CO2 4.5; HC 0.12.

My actual readings were CO2 4.399; HC 0.0758

The age related registration and pre SVA MOT state year of manufacture as 1981, this is not metioned in the V5.

So where does visible smoke come into it then???

Hi Stan,
Your engine date is too new.
For "Visible Smoke" only test, the engine has to be pre - 1973 (I think)
