| Well to my surprise ..PASSED !! Day started early test was at 08.00 so left at 6 am. When I got there I took advantage of the large empty car park for a quick warm up and try and use the brakes a bit. After being told off by one of the inspectors for going the wrong way around the one way system, I thought this is not a good start.... Tester was Ian and from start to finish tried to make me feel comfortable and at ease. He is a terribly nice bloke who wants you to pass. We did a few extra cable ties and moved a wire in the engine bay together and fiddled with the fog light that refused to work at first. After about 3 hours Ian explained the only issue he could see were the front flexible hoses that touched the brake on full lock. He suggested I drove 600m round the corner to a garage who could help me with this adjustment. This I did and 40 mins later I was back and he was OK with the work. All we did was loosen the union and re position the flexible pipe. After some messing with the axle weights, I had used a wrong number on the form he handed me the golden ticket ! Just been to see Dan at Brighton DVLA and he said I can collect the tax disc and form to enable me to buy plates after 2pm tomorrow. Bit of skiving off work tomorrow afternoon for me. I think I am nearly there... David
