| If I recall, undoing all the bolts (the 31 that are left) should mean the centre pops out. I'll deflate the tyre first so it doesn't burst the silicone that is inside the rim as to be fair, I've had no leakage problems since resealing it myself. I'll then be able to clean out all the threaded inserts (which have a lot of silicone in them) and get better access to the sheared fasteners, which hopefully won't be in too tight). I'll then reassemble with new bolts and threadlock them all in. Anyone know if there is a specific torque to use? Also, I'm not impressed with the star washers - many of them have broken. Would normal spring washers be better?

| The normal split rims are (i think) 15ft lb but I think you should contact image over the torque settings to be on the safe side.

| Problem was, Wilf, that they did such a gash job on it, I wanted to redo it myself. I reckon the acid in the silicone might have corroded the bolts, but this time I'll be assembling it dry (i.e. no silicone but with threadlock) Have popped the centre out without too much hassle this evening, although discovered another bolt had sheared. Have got to drill out 4 bolt stubs now - leaving it in soak with WD40 overnight - will attack tomorrow as I doubt this fantastic weather is going to last for much longer...
