Is the cable end pushed firmly into drive gear socket? To test make flag on other end of cable with masking tape then push car back and forwards to check rotation.

Yes,usually plastic/nylon drive gear locates into g/box.Important to ensure that end of cable(square section) is fully engaged into drive socket. If not fully in will soon wear nylon away.

What gearbox?

If tremec/T5 then Real Steel sell them - and you will need the circlip etc as well.

If Rover, then try any of the usual Rover suppliers like Rimmer.

Make sure you get it to them soon as possible, they had mine for about 5 weeks! They are the cheapest around in their defence. I used their formula and my speedo was as good as a production car tolerance at the SVA. (Words of the examiner not me!).

Get the rotational measurement of your cable as accurate as possible, i.e measure in degrees and then calculate as a decimal. ie 6turns and a further 90 degrees is 6.25 turns etc.
