Build nearly finished.

Just a few update photo's of the build so far. Just waiting for my new seats to arrive, the would have been here a lot earlier and the car on the road if I'd not ordered thought Pilgrim last November……. Went with http://www.interiorsseating.co.uk/wo...Catalogue.html ……. Cheaper and better quality than the chairs Pilgrim offer and also got definitive dates of when they will be ready. (Rant over)

Paint colour is actually blue (Maserati Grand Turismo Blue Oceano), it looks a lot better in the day light and is deffinately not purple like in some of the pictures.

What are peoples opinion on the stripe? Is is too narrow? I've seen lots of different stripe widths etc,

Cheers

Nick

Looks good to me.

Nice colour too. Looks a little late to be changing the stripes? They both look to be about the width of one of my stripes. Don't look wrong though or out of place.

You won't have any regrets with Interior seating. They supplied my seats and they are great. Much better quality and more comfortable than the Dax offerings too.

Craig.

Yup, stripes are too narrow.

Looks like you'll have to start again.

Original cars had 6" to 7" tapered stripes, what size are yours?

Not sure of the actual width ...... I just took the size roughly off the front of the Pilgrim build book by the position they were in releation to the air vents and fule fill cap etc.

Nick, is your car an older one that you are updating or do you need an SVA?
Looks like your fog light, fuel filler cap and wing mirrors might not be SVA compliant. I could be wrong though.....normally am.
If you're going for an SVA, get one of the local chapter to pop round and have a look over the car. A second pair of eyes could save you a re-test.

Car has passed the SVA. I took it un-painted so as not to scratch it taking off all the Pilgrim kit and putting my sharp stuff back on.

Looking good
Stripes I find are are personal choice.
When we laid out the stripes on the Dax we started with the original spec, but they looked lost on the wide bonnet scoop. We widened the stripes and kept the 1" gap which then looked too narrow so had to lay them out again with a wider gap
As long as you like them

I went for the pin stripes, maybe because they are that bit wider. Mind you the guy who painted it (Neil) said he wouldn't like to do them again

At the end of the day it's what you like to look at, striped, unstriped, side pipes, underslung, the list goes on.

Andi.
