V5C registration dates

The V5C arrived from Swansea today and they have cocked up the dates

Date of First Registration xx-xx-1918 (yep 1918, I think the Jag doner was 1981 so probably a bit of stray keyboard work by the DVLA). Is there any point getting this corrected? Not wanting to deal with the DVLA again in a hurry.

Could try getting free road tax but I'm sure that is based on the date of forst registration in the UK, which is correct, Juyl this year.

Cheers
John

Hmmm... "Forst registration" a bit of stray keyboard work on my own behalf.

Leavve it. You're now eligible (I think) for the London to Brighton run. I reckon you'd set a new world record.......

Thumbs up

date of first registration in UK does not determine free tax, first manufactured does, so you may get free tax!! but you may have trouble with Insurance and DVLA if you do not point out an obvious error. Simon

Thanks for that Mike. I must admit there has been a rumour that your first kit was a 1897 Panhard et Levassor.

Have you ever done the London Brighton? I have.

Damp, wet, cold and dirty.

Funny you should mention that, I've actually driven a Panhard 24CT when my old man was in the Motor Trade.

I've done the Newton Abbot to London and also got pi**ed wet through.
