| Hi Chaps Started the Chevy 383 up today and is running a little to fast 1500 rpm on tickover. The holley carb (Street Avenger) has a built in auto choke but has yet, I've not attached a 12V feed. Will ataching a 12 V feed reduce the tickover to around 800rpm once the engine gets warm, or do I have to adjust the carb in some other way? Thanks for your help Carl. |

| I agree with Wilf, you dont need a choke, 3 or 4 pumps on the gas peddle and it will fire up, the advantage ( apart from the gay one) is it enables you to set up this type of carb. better, and if you remove the choke mechanism COMPLETELY, the carb. will breath better. Regards. Frank Dowsett. BLOKE. |
