Tremec TKO Ratios??

Hi All

Can anyone help on working out gearbox ratios

I am looking to buy a Tremec TKO box but don’t want to get the wrong one! I know the 500 & 600 are built to handle different loads but the gear ratios differ, I'll be running a 383 stroker with approx 470 bhp at the flywheel a 35:4 PL Diff and 18" Rims on a Dax deion set up,

I suppose there will always be a compromise between the two dependants upon the driving situation but want the best all rounder, any advise welcome,

Also any ideas where to get the best deal on one at the moment........

Hi Si, unless you get offered one at a stupid price the one for you is TCET 4618 as that one is built for the Chevy, it has the shorter 5th gear 7 will handle the power of your 383.

All the ratio info you need should be here on the TTC TKo spec page-see link (by the way I think you got a typo in the diff 3:54)

Cheapest option new with almost $2/£1 is to import one from stateside; plenty come up on Ebay USA as well; not easy though.

For UK supply, Repower take some beating. Dont forget you need the bell housing slave system cluthc etc, and repower are very helpful with the whole package.

Well spotted for the ratio typo.....

Thanks for all your valuable advise on the TKO, spoke to Repower today and your right they were very helpfull and have placed an order for a TKO600

Another peice to the cobra puzzle, all be it another expensive one.
